My World

International Women’s Day on March 8th sees the launch of a new anthology to celebrate the inspiring role of women. She’s The One showcases the winning entries from the She’s The One National Writing Competition, which invited entrants to submit a short piece of poetry or prose inspired by the women who have shaped their worlds – whether international icons or personal heroines.

Recent Oxford graduate Sarah Porter, who conceived the project and compiled the winning submissions, says “I was tired of all of these books about ‘inspirational women’ that are really just a load of dates and biographies. The point about inspiration is that it is personal, something or someone who has actually made a difference to your life. I wanted a chance to celebrate not only the women who have inspired me, but the way they’ve inspired me, and to give other people that chance too.”

She's The One is available to purchase for £5.95 by following this link.
